Flyin'
and Waggin'
Morgan
started learning Flyball in Fall 2001. She caught on very fast because
of her Agility training and because she likes to play fetch with a tennis
ball. Flyball is basically just running down a lane of 4 jumps to grab
a tennis ball (which is launched from a box as the dog hits it), and returning
back down the line with the ball. In competition, 4 dogs make a team,
and they run the course relay-race style. Two teams run head to head,
and the first team with all 4 dogs across the finish line wins!

Morgan is now a Flyball Dog CHAMPION!
Morgan's first flyball Tournament was March 23-24 in Dallas, Texas. The
D.E.O. Speedwaggin' came in at 4th place in Division IV with only 4 dogs
on the team (including Morgan) at 16" jumps with a fastest time of
20.9 seconds. Each dog on the team earned over 800 points to win their
FD (Flyball Dog), FDX (Flyball Dog Excellent), and FDCH (Flyball Dog Champion)
titles! With 836 points, that makes Morgan the #5 ranked Great Dane in
Flyball...after just one tournament!!! Photos, video, and tournament results
