Morgan's Incredible Dog Challenge Diary

In July 2003, Morgan and I had the amazing opportunity to compete on a team in the 2003 Purina Dog Chow Incredible Dog Challenge Outdoor Adventure held in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. It was definitely an incredible experience, and Morgan was absolutely one incredible dog!

The event will air on PAX sometime later this year. There will be 5-6 "Incredible Dog" episodes, one will be of the Outdoor Adventure. Then the Incredible Dog finals will air on NBC around New Years. All of the shows will be exciting to watch, but make sure to catch the Outdoor Adventure show to see Morgan in action!

MOUNTAIN WEST ALTIDOGS!

Morgan and I were assigned the "back-up" spot for Stacy Peardot-Goudy on the Mountain West Altidogs team. Lucky for us (sorry Stacy!), Stacy twisted her ankle at the ESPN Great Outdoor Games and was unable to compete in the Outdoor Adventure.

Ken Fairchild and Echo were new this year to the Altidogs team, they actually are from New Hampshire. Ken and Echo also had just competed in the ESPN Great Outdoor Games in Reno the weekend before the Outdoor Adventure, and won Gold in the Super Weave event...congratulations!

The two members from last year's team who came back for 2003 were Mark Bowerman with Tulee, and Geoff Goudy with Buzz, both from Colorado.

Our team had the biggest dog (Great Dane), the smallest dog (Jack Russell), and the best farmer's tans (except for Mark).
