QUASAY Great Dane Agility Rankings 2002

* * Top Great Danes in Agility for 2002 * *

2002 was a great year for the "boys," especially considering "newbie," Bo, Desertwood's L.V. Mr. Bojangles AX AXJ, who pretty much swept the rankings. Bo was ranked #1 JWW Novice, #3 Standard Novice, #1 Standard Open, #2 JWW Open, #1 Standard Excellent, #1 JWW Excellent, and #2 in JWW Masters. The only class that he wasn't ranked in was Standard Masters...but that is absolutely amazing for a dog (of ANY breed) to title in Novice through Excellent in a one year period! Bo is the #1 Male Great Dane in Agility and will surely become the first MX/MXJ titled male! Bo earned 22 qualifying scores during 2002, not too far behind the #1 Dane's 31 Qs, Morgan "Danger" Powers CD MX MXJ.

 Big Daddy Cool Diesel CD OA OAJ, otherwise known as "Nash," earned his OA and OAJ titles this year with 7 Qs, and also placed 3rd in Open JWW at the GDCA Nationals, just behind 2nd place dog, Zeke, Ezekial's Midnight Star NA NAJ, another top male Dane in Agility. Mardane's Sir Angus CD OA OAJ, an 8 year old male Dane in Florida, earned his OAJ and also had one qualifying score in Excellent JWW in 2002.

3 of the 6 Champion Danes who earned qualifying scores in 2002 were males, CH Aqwyne Chaney Moos On T'Loos NA NAJ (8 Qs!), CH Chroma Thief of Hearts NA NAJ, and CH Lynbar's Blue Max Von Croix (who also qualified at the GDCA Nationals).

This is a listing of Great Dane Agility Rankings based on the "QUASAY" Agility Ranking System. Data has been compiled since Jan 1 2001 from Great Dane Qualifying scores published in the AKC Awards magazine. All Great Danes who have obtained at least one Qualifying score are listed.

Each Dane's name is linked to their Agility Dane Bio page which includes photos, videos, and other details about them, as well as details on each Qualifying score in the database used to calculate these rankings.

QUASAY Agility Ranking System

Rankings are based on the following:
  Q   - Number of Qualifying Scores
  AS - Average Score
  AY - Average Yards per second
#1 Criteria - No. of Qualifying Scores:
The highest number of Qualifying scores is ranked first. (Example: 3 Qs is ranked higher then 2 Qs) Novice, Open, and Excellent A include up to 3 scores because the dog has finished his/her title. If the dog does not move-up to the next level and more then 3 Qs are earned, then the lowest scores are dropped and the Qs are listed as 3+. In Masters level, all Qs are included because they continue to count toward the Masters and MACH titles.
#2 Criteria - Average Score:
If there is a tie for the highest number of Qualifying Scores, then the highest Average Score of those Q's is ranked highest.
#3 Criteria - Average Yards Per Second:
If there is a tie for the highest number of Qualifying Scores and the highest Average Score, then the fastest Average Yards Per Second is ranked highest. Yards Per Second are computed by dividing the course yardage by the dog's time, resulting in the speed that the dog ran the course.
